My reason for riding in this year's Bike Up Northumberland is personal: my husband, David, can't. David, who was Vice-Chair of the Campbellford Memorial Hospital (CMH) Board of Directors up until his death in March of this year, was passionate about Northumberland County's healthcare in general, and CMH in particular. I know that if he was alive, he'd be training every evening in preparation for this ride, so I want to carry on that passion in his memory.

As David explained in his reason for riding in Bike Up Northumberland in 2015, the government does not fund the purchase of hospital equipment, your generous donations do. It is your donations that will help your loved ones and friends if they should need to spend time at Campbellford Memorial Hospital or Northumberland Hills Hospital. That's why I'm asking for your financial support -- so that patients in our regional hospitals can be treated using the same equipment that people in large cities benefit from.

My fundraising goal is $250.00, and I know that with your help I can meet it or, better yet, beat it!
